I am a political philosopher based in Houston, Texas. I am currently Associate Director in the Office of Faculty Development at Rice University. Before I came to Rice, I was Associate Professor of Philosophy at Loyola University New Orleans. My research addresses questions of political freedom, equality, and democratic theory, with a particular focus on punishment, incarceration, and criminal justice reform.
